North Korea has recognized Donetsk and Luhansk.

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), more commonly referred to as North Korea, has officially recognized the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic.

These two territories are officially part of the Ukrainian state, but which are occupied by Russian forces.

The DPRK becomes only the third UN member state to recognize them as legitimate authorities.

We remind you that Russia is one of the countries that recognized these two territories as independent, while Syria did the same a week ago.

We emphasize that the Russian state started the invasion of Ukraine on February 24 and so far has caused numerous victims and thousands of victims.

Otherwise, Ukraine and the Western countries do not recognize these territories as independent, as well as the vast majority of the member states of the United Nations.
