Man tries to break into jewelry box in Milwaukee.
A Wisconsin criminal failed in epic fashion when he repeatedly tried to use a brick to break into a jewelry box in broad daylight until he was finally chased by an employee, footage released Monday shows.
The video, recorded in the city of Milwaukee, shows a man entering the store around 1 p.m., pulling a brick out of his pocket and then repeatedly slamming it into a jewelry box.
The man, wearing a bright red shirt and matching shoes, punched the box nine times and at one point stopped to put on his sunglasses in an apparent attempt to remain unrecognizable, the footage showed.
He was last seen pulling up in a maroon Chevrolet Malibu with no license plates.
Officers with the Menomonee Falls Police Department told Fox 6 that they only recently obtained the video from the store and released it to the public in hopes that it would help them track down the suspect.
Robberies and kidnappings have been on the rise in hotspots like Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.
