Joe Biden is infected with the coronavirus.
US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing “very mild symptoms”, the White House says.
The 79-year-old president, who is fully vaccinated and has received two booster doses, will reportedly self-isolate at the White House and continue to perform all of his duties, a statement said.
This is the first time that Biden has tested positive for COVID-19. He last tested negative on Tuesday.
The White House also stated that Biden is being treated with Paxlovid. Paxlovid is Pfizer’s antiviral drug.
