Fire in an industrial building in Switzerland.
A large fire broke out today in an industrial building in Spreitenbach near Zurich, police announced.
Seven people suffered smoke inhalation, four of whom were hospitalized.
According to the police of the canton of Aargau, the fire has fallen in a storage facility in which bitumen is stored, so the smoke is very black.
The fire service went to the scene and at a distance of several kilometers a large cloud of smoke was seen.
Bitumen is needed for asphalt production.
According to police spokesman Adrian Bieri, the fire quickly spread to other buildings. However, there are no residential buildings nearby.
The back of the warehouse collapsed about two hours after the fire broke out. Other buildings were burned and demolished.
