Borrell: Russia could be suffering significant losses.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Russian forces may have suffered “impressive losses” since their invasion of Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters in Brussels, Borrell said: “I would not dare to make a prediction of how long Russia can resist.”
“If it is true that Russia has lost 15 percent of its troops since the beginning of the war, this is a world record of the losses of an army occupying a country,” the Spaniard said.
He added that the European Union “will not allow” Ukraine to be left without military equipment.
Otherwise, Borrell has asked Serbia today to harmonize its policy with that of Europe and to impose sanctions on Russia.
