A new package of military assistance to Ukraine

A new package of military assistance to Ukraine.

About 20 countries will send a new package of military assistance to Ukraine as the war with the Russians enters its third month, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has announced.

Speaking to reporters at the Pentagon, Austin said nearly 50 defense leaders from around the world had agreed to send more sophisticated weapons to Ukraine.

In particular it is Denmark that agreed to send the Harpoon launcher and various missiles, to help Ukraine protect its shores.

Austin has refused to say that the US will send advanced missile launchers – a long-standing request from Ukrainian authorities.

“Many countries are donating artillery, defense systems such as anti-ship missiles, tanks and armored vehicles,” Austin added.
