Zelensky will meet with Blinken and Austin in Kiev.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will visit the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, tomorrow.
“I do not think this is a secret that tomorrow the people of the United States will come to us, Secretary of State Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin,” Zelensky said at a news conference in the subway in Kiev.
Zelensky also said, “We will wait for the president of the United States to come and talk to us when security allows it.”
US President Joe Biden said last week that he was working with his team to determine whether to send a senior member of the US administration to Ukraine.
We note that many leaders of state and European institutions have already met Ukrainian officials in Kiev.
Otherwise, Zelensky has also stated that he will interrupt talks with Russia if the Russian army kills the citizens of Mariupol and Vladimir Putin organizes “pseudo referendums” in the occupied Ukrainian territories.
