The European Union bans arms trade with Russia.
EU member states banned arms trade with Russia two days ago as part of a new package of sanctions against the Kremlin.
However, such a decision is coming in six weeks after the Russian occupation of Ukraine began.
The latest ban on arms imports and exports includes direct or indirect shipments, imports or sales of weapons, ammunition, military equipment and spare parts to Russia.
The ban also relies on other services related to the military equipment and weapons market. Funding of military activities with Russia through grants, loans, insurance and guarantees has also been banned.
Such a request was constantly coming from Kiev, which urged EU member states to close any door with Russia, which began its occupation of Ukraine on February 24.
