Russia has caused $ 60 billion in property damage.

According to the World Bank, it would cost approximately $ 60 billion to repair all buildings and infrastructure damaged in Ukraine during Russia’s aggression.

President David Malpass said at a World Bank conference that early assessment of damage costs does not include the growing economic costs of the war in Ukraine.

The extent of the damage remains unclear in some areas, such as the heavily bombed Mariupol, although it has been suggested that 90 per cent of the city’s infrastructure has been destroyed.

“Of course the war is still going on, so these costs are rising,” Malpass said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the forum that Ukraine would need $ 7 billion a month to offset the economic losses caused by the war.

He urged global powers to immediately sever ties with Moscow, despite heavy sanctions imposed by the West.
