Lamborghini launches first eSports team for racing.
Sports and luxury car manufacturing company Lamborghini today (Wednesday) announced its first factory-backed eSports team, with three drivers competing in the sim races.
Sim racing or racing simulation are collective terms for racing game software that tries to accurately simulate car racing, complete with real-world variables such as fuel usage, damage, wear and tear, etc.
The three new members of the Lamborghini team who will be driving for the virtual races are Jordan Sheratt, Gianfranco Giglioli and Giorgio Simonini, Lamborghini announced in a press release.
Sherratt and Giglioli will compete in the GT World Challenge Esports Sprint Series Europe; Simonini will join them for the Intercontinental Championship GT Challenge Esports Endurance 2022, said Lamborghini.
