Hitler and Stalin did not kill me-neither will Putin.
The Russian occupation of Ukraine began two months ago, and although it is not yet known how long this war will last, the Ukrainians do not intend to surrender.
One of them is a grandmother who was in concentration camps at the same time as Anne Frank, and today she has promised that she will survive Vladimir Putin.
Anastacia Gulei is 96 years old, who was forced to flee Ukraine after the entry of Russian troops.
She spent four months as a prisoner in the Auschitz camp at the same time as Anne Frank. Although at least 1.1 million people died there, mostly Jews – Anastasia has managed to escape, and now seems determined to survive Putin’s aggression. “I survived Hitler and Stalin and I will survive this Putin,” Anastacia added.
The grandmother, who survived the Holocaust, compared Putin’s movements in Ukraine to those of the Nazis, and earlier this month on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of her release from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, described Putin as a man of genocide.
“I have no words for Hitler’s admirer from the Kremlin and what he did in Bucha and Mariupol,” the Ukrainian grandmother said at the end.
