Ferrari will recall more than 2,000 cars from China.
Luxury sports car maker Ferrari will recall 2,222 cars from China due to a possible defect in the braking systems, China market regulator said in a statement on Friday.
The recall includes the 458 Italia, 458 Special, 458 Special A, 458 Spider, 488 GTB and 488 Spider series models, said the State Administration for Market Regulation, and is for cars imported between March 2010 and March 2019.
Withdrawal will begin on May 30th.
A source close to the matter said the withdrawal is part of a broader action Ferrari is taking globally on the same issue for models produced during the period, which also saw the carmaker accept a withdrawal campaign in the United States in November last year.
In the car industry, withdrawals and their schedules are usually set by each individual national authority as problems arise or are noted by the constructor.
