Zelensky signs decree to withdraw Ukrainian soldiers.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree withdrawing Ukrainian peacekeepers from around the world, along with their weapons and equipment, to strengthen the Ukrainian military in repelling Russian aggression.
The photo of the relevant decree was posted by the head deputy of the president’s office Andriy Sybiha on Facebook.
“Ukrainian President V. Zelensky has decided to withdraw Ukrainian peacekeepers, highly professional soldiers, from all missions around the world, along with their equipment, to strengthen our army now in response to Russian aggression,” Sybiha wrote.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale aggression.
Russian troops have killed civilians, shelled and destroyed key infrastructure, and fired rockets at Ukrainian families.
In Ukraine, meanwhile, martial law was enacted and a general mobilization was announced.
