Zelensky calls for boycott of Russian oil.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for more sanctions against Russia.

Speaking at his daily conference, Zelensky says the ongoing invasion shows that “Russia has not abandoned its plans against Ukraine.”

“We need a new package of sanctions, a boycott of Russian exports, in particular the refusal of oil from Russia,” he said.

“If the invasion continues than it means the current sanctions are not working and we should impose stronger sanctions on Russia for the sake of peace.”

He added that these measures should be tougher and “can be called an embargo.”

It remains to be seen how the world is going to react to this request of the Ukrainian President especially since some of the countries depend on the oil that comes from Russia.
