The United States has decided to provide $ 800 million worth of weapons to Ukraine.
The latest package adds to the $ 200 million allocated last weekend, which totals $ 1 billion.
The new military aid includes 800 Stinger missiles to help Ukraine’s ground forces cope with low-flying helicopters and planes, as well as 2,000 Javelins that can strike enemy tanks, which the Ukrainian government has now requested for so long.
For the first time, the US will send 100 latest model tactical drones to Ukraine to use as missiles against enemy tanks or artillery positions.
Other weapons listed on the package are rifles, pistols, machine guns, shotguns and grenade launchers.
The administration is also sending armor, helmets and more than 20 million bullets to Kiev.
The White House says its current level of military assistance to Ukraine is “more than we have ever provided.”
