The Russians reportedly kidnapped another mayor.

Viktor Tereshchenko, the mayor of the city of Velikoburlutskaya in the Kharkiv region, was captured by Russian forces, announced the head of the Kharkiv regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov.

“Today we have news that the Russians have captured the head of the Greater Burlu community, Viktor Nikolayevich Tereshchenko. Such people need to be safe. Viktor Nikolayevich was simply abducted from his workplace and taken to the local police station. “He is being held there and will not be released,” Sinegubov said.

He said everyone is working for the mayor to be released as soon as possible.

“Soon our occupied territories will be ours again,” he said.

This comes a day after Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorov, who had been captured by Russian forces, was released as part of a prisoner exchange.
