The Rolling Stones announce Tour.
The Rolling Stones will announce this month a European tour to mark the 60th anniversary of its founding, including a concert in Liverpool.
Legendary rockers – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will unveil their plans for the historic concerts on March 14th.
Sources say the first date of the UK tour – which starts in June – will be at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, as the band returns to the city for the first time in five decades
Their performance there will be the first concert of the hit creators since they performed at the Empire Theater in 1971.
“The last time the Stones were in Liverpool, they performed in front of a small crowd of several thousand people in the Empire. But Anfield has a capacity of 53,000 people. “It will be a great moment for them and their fans,” said a source.
“This tournament has been in the planning stages for a long time, and those plans are now on the verge of finalization. It’s a very exciting time. “Tickets, when they go on sale, will be like gold dust,” said the source.
The famous music group will join the list of a small group of stars who have held a concert at the iconic football stadium.
