The next major Dota2 tournament will be held in Arlington.
The organizer of the eSports PGL tournament has announced the next big tournament, which will be held in Arlington, Texas.
The next Major Tournament in Dota 2 will see the 18 best teams in the world fight for a prize pool of around 500.000$ and the last chance to earn points to qualify for ‘The International’.
Organized Event in North America, PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington will take place from 4th to 14th August 2022.
According to the announcement, the event will have a live audience, while further details about the tournament have not yet been made known.
“Dota 2 has a lot of fans in the US and Arlington has a perfect location for tournaments of this caliber, such as the Esports Stadium,” said Silviu Stroie, PGL chief executive.
“We are fortunate to be back in North America with another Major after Boston. We like to host events in the US and we have wonderful memories from 2016, it was a great tour and the fans were fantastic.
“Having an extraordinary tournament with Dota 2 enthusiasts in the stands after a long time will be fantastic.”
It is worth mentioning that the last Dota 2 tournament in North America, was held in 2016, where the winner was the OG team.
