Northern Macedonia has made one of the biggest surprises in history, leaving Italy out of the World Cup, after winning 1-0.
Italy although dominated and had a few chances, failed to score in the first half.
Domenico Berardi and Ciro Immobile had two chances in the first 45 minutes, but they were not accurate.
Even in the second half Italy had more of the game.
Berardi had two good chances in the 54 ‘and 58’ minutes, but in both cases the ball went next to the post.
In the 63rd minute, Ezgjan Alioski stopped a ball that was going towards the goal, saving a safe goal.
Giacomo Raspadori had a chance in the 79th minute, but his shot from the distance went over the bar.
When the match was expected to go on, Aleksandar Trajkovski came on the scene and with a powerful shot from distance scored for 1-0.
Italy is left out of the World Cup.
