Man City will sign new contracts with these players
English club, Manchester City is planning new talks to renew the contracts with three big players of the team.
City will offer Rodri, Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan new contracts to keep them even longer at the Etihad.
All of the three stars have played a major role in City’s recent success and Pep Guardiola is keen to ensure that their stay at the club is extended.
Rodri’s current contract expires after two years and he is now expected to have a ‘profitable’ salary increase.
The 25-year-old will be offered approximately 125,000 a week, a huge increase from his current 70,000-a-week salary.
Rodri has always been present in City’s midfield since he joined them from Atletico Madrid for 56m in 2019.
Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan both have contracts that expire at the end of next season, but they are also expected to extend their stay in Manchester, but no improvement in conditions is expected.
Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Ruben Dias, Joao Cancello, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones have signed new deals recently.
The only player with whom City have failed to agree to the new terms, so far, is Raheem Sterling.
