Evidence suggests Putin is failing in Ukraine.
A fourth Russian general has been killed in Ukraine, again showing Russia’s failure to achieve its military objectives, despite President Vladimir Putin saying the “operation” was going according to plan.
Why were they on the wrong track in the first place?
Two theories are that Russian generals went to the front lines to resolve the strategic mess in which some of the battalions were deployed, or to encourage demoralized soldiers to advance.
Whatever the reason, it is a major coup for Ukraine, both militarily and in the propaganda war, and will deepen any dissatisfaction Putin has with the way his occupation is progressing.
It has not been confirmed, but the RAF spy planes and the US Air Force, Rivet Joint, have carried out missions near the border with Ukraine.
These aircraft have advanced telecommunications assembly capabilities on board and have been very effective in the campaign against Iraq and Syria.
It is known that Russia’s secure military communication networks have failed, for various reasons, and the soldiers are using unencrypted open lines.
Therefore, it is possible that the British and Americans overheard the front-line talks and passed the location of the top Russian commanders to the Ukrainian allies.
