Tesla CEO Elon Musk is considering creating a new social media platform.
Musk responded to a Twitter user’s question about if he was considering creating a social media platform that relies on open source algorithms – prioritizing freedom of expression where propaganda would be minimal.
He is an active Twitter user, but has recently begun to criticize this platform. He even said that this company is undermining democracy by not adhering to the principle of freedom of speech.
And this post comes after he published a poll on Twitter, where he asked users to show if they believe that Twitter adheres to the principle of freedom of speech, and 70 percent voted “no”
And if Musk decides to create a new platform, he will join the growing portfolio of tech giants, who are positioned as champions of free speech, and who hope to attract more users who feel that their attitudes have been “printed” on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
