Bruce Willis made over 15 films within two years.
Bruce Willis worked hard for the past two years before the actor’s family announced his retirement from acting due to a diagnosis of aphasia.
On Wednesday (March 30), the family of the “Die Hard” actor announced on social media that Willis “is leaving a career that means so much to him” after “a lot of consideration”.
They said that Willis was recently diagnosed with aphasia, “which is affecting his cognitive abilities.”
“This is a truly challenging time for our family and we are very grateful for your continued love, compassion and support,” said his family members – who include his wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore and five daughters.
Prior to retirement, Willis directed a series of action movies, which were shown in select cinemas and on demand.
After starring in the 2019 film “Glass” reprinting his role from “Unbreakable” from 2000 and “Motherless Brooklyn” directed by Edward Norton, Willis appeared in 15 films released in the last two and a half years.
Including movies like: 10 Minutes Gone, Trauma Center, Survive the Night, Hard Kill, Breach, Cosmic Sin, Midnight in the Switchgrass, Out of Death, Survive the Game, Apex, Deadlock, Fortress, American Siege, Benzine Alley, and A Day to Die.
According to his IMDb site, he has eight other films listed as completed or in post-production, including a sequel to “Fortress” with actor Chad Michael Murray.
Willis is known for his long career in Hollywood spanning over several decades, starring in action movies like “Die Hard” and his sequels, “Armageddon” and many others.
He has also appeared in iconic films such as “Pulp Fiction”, “The Fifth Element”, “The Sixth Sense”, “12 Monkeys” and “Sin City”.
