Biden reaffirms assistance to Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden has reiterated his commitment to supplying Ukraine with weapons in order to protect itself from Russia.
These were the first words of the American president, during the telephone conversation he had with the leaders of European countries, the White House announced.
Biden spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
This telephone conversation comes at a time when talks between Russia and Ukraine are taking place in Istanbul, where Moscow has “promised” to reduce the military scale near the Ukrainian capital – Kiev.
