Audi stops production in some countries.
Due to the current geopolitical situation, Audi is forced to discontinue production.
In a letter to lawmakers given to the German magazine Automobilwoche, Audi said it would “stop production in certain countries”. It has not been announced for how long, but it has been said that the interruption “will last for days or weeks”.
Numerous models are at risk, so supply problems in the market will surely affect the A4, A5, A6, A7, TT, Q7 and Q8. Audi warns dealers to prepare for “significantly longer waiting lists” for the aforementioned models.
Audi should start production of the A4, A5, A6 and A7 in early April, while the TT, Q8 and Q4 e-tron can only return to production in the second half of the month, in reduced quantities.
Automobilwoche adds that A1, A3, Q5 and A8 are only minimally affected by the situation.
