16 American teams and only 6 spots for PGL Antwerp.
The 16 American teams that will compete in the qualifiers for the six spots in the PGL Major Antwerp have been determined.
After four qualifying rounds, two of which were held for the North American teams and two for the South American teams, the list of teams that will compete in Bucharest, Romania has finally been announced starting from April 11.
Evil Geniuses, PaiN Gaming and Party Astronauts secured three places in the last open qualifying round of America’s top regional rankings thus closing the list for PGL Antwerp Major Americas RMR in April.
There are 16 teams from South America and North America that will face each other in the “swiss-system” format, where only six will manage to qualify for the Grand Major in Antwerp.
Teams that manage to win three matches will advance to the PGL ANTWERP MAJOR, while teams that lose three matches are eliminated from the tournament and lose the opportunity for major.
