NATO: There are no indications that the attack was intentional

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, is holding a press conference in Brussels, where a few moments earlier the session of the ambassadors of the North Atlantic Alliance was held, to discuss the fall of the missiles in Poland.

He said that the investigations into the rockets that fell in Poland are continuing, but so far “there are no indications that it was a deliberate attack”.

“Our preliminary analyzes show that the incident was caused by Ukrainian air defenses, which aimed to shoot down a Russian missile,” added Stoltenberg.

“Let me be clear, this was not the fault of Ukraine. Russia bears the final responsibility as it continues with its illegal war against Ukraine”, added the head of the most powerful military alliance.

The member countries of the Alliance express their condolences to the families of the victims of this incident – stressing that they stand in solidarity with the Polish people.
