NATO: Russia is under great pressure in Ukraine

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, said today that Russia is under great pressure in Ukraine, after Moscow ordered the withdrawal of its troops from the city of Kherson in the south of Ukraine.

After the meeting with Italian Prime Minister Girogia Meloni, Stoltenberg announced that NATO in the coming days will observe and control the situation to make sure if the Russians have withdrawn from the western part of the banks of the Dnipro River.

“What is clear is that the Russians are under great pressure and if they leave Kherson, it would be a great victory for Ukraine,” Stoltenberg added to reporters after the conversation he had with the Italian prime minister.

He added that NATO will support Ukraine “however necessary”.

“The unprecedented support that we have offered to NATO, including Italy, that every day brings changes on the battlefield and remains a key help for the advancement of Ukraine”, added the head of the North Atlantic Alliance.

We recall that last month Meloni assumed the office of the Italian Prime Minister, and in the meeting with Stoltenberg said that her government supports the protection of the “territorial integrity, sovereignty and liberation of Ukraine”.
