Polls are continuing to open across the US as this year’s midterm elections get underway.
Starting in the morning local time, residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and other East Coast states can go and cast their ballots.
And in about half an hour, it will be the same for people living in North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia.
Remember, this is not an election for a new US president – it is for Congress, which consists of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
