Ukrainians return to destroyed cities

Ukrainians have started to return to their cities, now destroyed, after the withdrawal of Russian troops.

One of them is Nataliia Yelistratova, who with her husband traveled by train to Balakliia, a city in the east of Ukraine.

“The weather is great because we are going home. My condition is wonderful, we are very happy now”, she said with a smile.

Yelistratova traveled about 80 km from Kharkiv with her husband and daughter on one of the special trains set up for residents of the city who wanted to return.

A few days ago, Ukrainian forces say that they have managed to take control of more areas that had fallen into the hands of Russian soldiers.
