Xiaomi introduces Pilot Technology for autonomous driving

Xiaomi in March 2021 has officially entered the electric car industry, and has now allocated 9.7 billion euros towards the development of a completely new car brand, which is now crossing speed bumps on the way to success.

Undeterred by these events, Lei Jun, the executive director of Xiaomi announced the progress report of Xiaomi Pilot Technology

Pilot Technology is Xiaomi’s fully developed autonomous driving solution. The company has dedicated 487.7 million euros to the creation of the R&D team and to the development of what they call next-generation self-driving technology.

Xiaomi has recruited over 500 specialists from around the world for its R&D team, the company has completed a series of acquisitions and strategic investments in order to ensure access to the latest technology and developments.

According to Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s autonomous technology uses an in-house approach, and the progress made so far has exceeded all expectations.

The company’s approach to solving problems with this technology was very simple and effective – hire the best talent and let them work with unlimited resources. This attitude is definitely paying off.
