Russia has lost 40,670 soldiers, Ukraine claims.
Ukraine has given the latest update on the number of losses Russia has suffered since the start of the war.
It claims 40,670 Russian troops were killed and 3,995 armored personnel carriers were destroyed. Other military equipment that has disappeared includes 190 helicopters, 1,759 tanks and 222 airplanes.
Meanwhile, Russia is currently recruiting thousands of volunteers to fill its war-depleted ranks.
Analysts believe more than 30,000 volunteers may have signed up to help in the war effort to help Kremlin forces take control of eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region.
Russia has continued today with bombings, causing casualties and material damage.
