WhatsApp launches ’emoji’ reactions in conversations

WhatsApp launches ’emoji’ reactions in conversations.

One month after the announcement, WhatsApp now lets you respond to messages in individual and group conversations with an emoji.

The news of the launch of this feature was announced by Mark Zuckerberg through a Facebook post this week.

So far you seem to be able to react using six ’emojis’ including heart, folded hands and surprised face emoji.

Meta’s boss said the folded-out emoji was included ‘to help spread praise and appreciation’ and added that more expressions would come soon.

Emoji reactions come with restrictions. For example, you can only add one response per message, which is fairly standard on Meta-owned apps like Facebook and Instagram.
