WHO is preparing for disaster in case of a chemical attack.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is preparing for possible “chemical attacks” in Ukraine, said the organisation’s head, Hans Kluge.
The WHO is examining all scenarios and making surprises for various situations that may affect the people of Ukraine, from the ongoing treatment of mass victims, to chemical attacks.
Kluge declined to give further details about the WHO preparations.
Asked about a possible Russian chemical attack in Ukraine, he replied that the organization is preparing for any kind of situation.
“The short answer is that the WHO is preparing for any eventuality within our mandate,” he said.
Otherwise, the US and the European Union have repeatedly stated that Russia could use chemical weapons in Ukraine.
