Elon Musk could merge Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter.

Elon Musk may be laying the groundwork for the “combination” of Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter into a new super company.

The richest man in the world continues his efforts to take control of Twitter, Musk registered three new companies on Tuesday in the tax-friendly state of Delaware under the variations of the name “X Holdings”.

The three new companies appear to be a “financial maneuver” as part of Musk’s Twitter offer.

The first company, X Holdings I Inc., lists Musk as president, treasurer and secretary and would be Twitter’s parent company if the billionaire’s offer succeeds.

Another entity, X Holdings II Inc., would join Twitter as part of the acquisition, while X Holdings III LLC would be used to help finance the transaction.

But these have also revived speculation as to whether Musk plans to merge all of his ventures – Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company and potentially Twitter – into a single super-conglomerate.

Otherwise, in December 2020, a Musk investor and supporter named Dave Lee wrote on Twitter that Musk should “form a company called X” that would become “the parent company of Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and Boring Company.” with the “mission to ensure the survival and progress of humanity.”

“Good idea,” Musk had replied.
