The UN is not aware of any biological weapons in Ukraine.
At Russia’s request, the UN Security Council got together to discuss its unsubstantiated allegations of US “biological activity” in Ukraine.
UN disarmament chief Izumi Nakamitsu raised another concern about the war situation in Ukraine, related to the safety of nuclear power plants in Ukraine, where she also called for immediate measures to avoid problems.
According to her, an accident involving nuclear facilities in Ukraine could have serious consequences for public health and the environment. She also said that the possibility of an accident caused by the failure of the reactor power supply, or the inability to ensure regular maintenance is increasing day by day.
Russia is accusing Ukraine of developing weapons in secret laboratories. Chemical weapons are any type of ammunition that carries toxins or chemicals that attack the body system.
Ukraine says this is ridiculous and has neither chemical nor biological weapons. Both Russia and Ukraine have signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, where all such chemical weapons are strictly prohibited.
