A fraudulent message is spreading on the messenger.

Facebook is home to a lot of scams and if you use its Messenger app regularly, then there is a new scam you need to know about.

Known as phishing scam, it comes as a message either directly to your Facebook profile or through the Messenger app.

It says “Look what I found” and includes an emoji as well as a hyperlink.

Of course, you do not have to click the link.

Chances are the message came from a friend or other contact whose account has been compromised. So while it seems to come from a trusted source, it is actually a way to test and gain access to your data.
